Where Does Diallos Go After Volcano Manor Quest Guide

Navigating the complex NPC questlines in Elden Ring often leads players down unexpected paths, and Diallos Hoslow is no exception. After joining the Recusants and lingering in the drawing room at Mt. Gelmir, he eventually vanishes from the area. Tracking down his next location is vital for players who want to witness the conclusion of his story and claim his unique gear rewards.

Locating Diallos in Jarburg

Once Diallos leaves Volcano Manor, he relocates to Jarburg, a tranquil village nestled along the eastern cliffs of Liurnia of the Lakes. You can reach this hidden settlement by descending the stone slabs jutting out from the cliff side south of the Carian Study Hall. Upon arrival, you will find Diallos taking shelter in one of the small shacks, where he acts as the new Potentate for the local living jars.

Prerequisites for His Arrival

Diallos will only appear in Jarburg if you have properly triggered his departure from Mt. Gelmir by exhausting his dialogue or defeating Rykard. Additionally, you must advance the questline of Jar-Bairn, the small jar NPC seated on the stone steps of Jarburg. Speaking to Jar-Bairn until he mentions the arrival of a new Potentate guarantees that Diallos has successfully spawned in the village.

Progressing the Jarburg Event

To advance the final chapter of Diallos' story, speak with both him and Jar-Bairn until all their available dialogue options are exhausted. Afterward, pass time at the nearby Site of Grace or travel away and return to trigger an event where poachers attack the village. Diallos will attempt to defend the peaceful jars, resulting in a dramatic turn of events that seals his legacy as a true knight.

Rewards for Completing the Quest

Following the defense of Jarburg, interact with the wounded Diallos and reload the area by resting at a grace point. Returning to his position allows you to collect Hoslow's Petal Whip, Diallos' Mask, and a Numen's Rune from where he lay. Completing this narrative arc also provides the necessary closure to obtain the Companion Jar Talisman from Jar-Bairn later on.
